Privacy Policy

How we handle your information when you visit the site, learn with us, and take part in Product Builders Club.

1. About this policy

Product Builders Club is operated by Blank Slate Labs. This policy explains how we handle personal information when you visit our website, sign up for emails, register for workshops or events, or contact us. It also describes your choices and how to reach us with a privacy question.

2. Information we handle

Email signups. When you join the workshop email list, we send your email address and, when available, the referring page URL to Kit to manage your subscription. We may add a tag to organize workshop subscribers.

Bookings and support. Luma handles event registration and checkout. Information you provide there, such as your name, email, registration details, and payment status, may be available to us as the event organizer. Payments are processed by Stripe through Luma; this website does not collect card numbers. When you email us, we receive your address, message, and any information you include.

Website visits. Our hosting provider may process technical request information, such as IP address, browser details, requested pages, timestamps, and error logs, to deliver and secure the website. The website does not currently include advertising pixels or a separate analytics script.

3. How we use information

We use information to manage workshop and event registrations, provide access details and recordings, send requested workshop announcements, respond to support requests, handle cancellations and refunds, and operate and protect our services. We may also need information for accounting, legal obligations, or resolving disputes.

Where applicable law requires a legal basis, we rely on providing the services you request, our legitimate interests in operating and securing those services, legal obligations, or consent for activities that require it, such as certain marketing communications.

4. Cookies

External services such as Luma and Kit may use their own cookies or similar technologies when you use their pages or emails; their privacy policies explain those practices. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, which may affect features of those services.

5. Workshop recordings

Our online workshops are recorded and shared with registered participants to download and keep. If you speak, turn on your camera, share your screen, or contribute to a recorded discussion, your name, voice, image, or shared content may appear in the recording.

Avoid sharing confidential information, passwords, or API keys during a session. Contact us before attending if you have concerns about appearing in a recording. Because participants can keep their copies, we cannot remove material from copies they have already downloaded.

6. Service providers and sharing

We use Kit for email subscriptions, Luma for bookings and checkout, Stripe for payment processing through Luma, and Vercel for website hosting. These providers process information needed for their services. Workshop meeting platforms also process information when you join a session.

Providers may process information in countries other than where you live. Their privacy policies describe their own processing practices and any applicable transfer safeguards. When you follow a link to an external tool or service, its policy applies to your use of that service.

We may disclose information where required by law or reasonably needed to address fraud, security incidents, or protect legal rights. Workshop contributions included in recordings are shared with registered participants as described above.

7. Retention and security

We retain information for as long as reasonably needed to provide the services you request, manage ongoing subscriptions, meet legal or accounting obligations, and resolve disputes. The required period depends on the type of information and why it is held. You can contact us to ask about retention or request deletion.

Providers may retain records under their own policies and legal obligations.

We use access controls and service-provider security features to help protect information. No online system is completely secure, so please avoid sending sensitive information that we do not need.

8. Your choices and rights

You can unsubscribe from workshop announcements using the link in those emails. We may still send information needed for an existing booking, such as access details or a cancellation notice.

Depending on where you live and the law that applies, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, object to or restrict certain processing, or withdraw consent. Contact us to make a request. We may need to verify your identity, and legal obligations may limit what we can delete. You may also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

If you believe a child has provided personal information without appropriate parental permission, contact us so we can look into it and address the information as required by applicable law.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when our services or information practices change. We will post the updated version here with a revised date and provide any additional notice required by applicable law.
